If done in the fall this will turn the soil under the garden bed into rich, black soil (everything around here is clay) that feeds the roots systems quite well.

We also have bindweed here in Colorado. It is completely invasive and indestructable.Rtulejahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08216770926689997809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9091794270907110191.post-60625253587484685732011-05-09T07:49:11.317-06:002011-05-09T07:49:11.317-06:00LOL! You know what's as bad as the roots on these... the seed. Their seeds stay viable for FIFTY YEARS! can you imagine having to make sure no plant went to seed for fifty years to try and irradicate something? Crazy.
Best wishes on your gardens as well.
P~P~https://www.blogger.com/profile/13403847624491620709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9091794270907110191.post-23459579690852777642011-05-09T06:06:29.867-06:002011-05-09T06:06:29.867-06:00I loathe morning glories! Then if you yank them and leave them out in the open they will re root as soon as they get wet.

Yes ~P, I have come over only to vent on your blog. Ten years at his place and I am still ripping out morning glories.

Looking forward to seeing your harvest yet again this year.Phelanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08250080326099834661noreply@blogger.com
